How to track organic traffic

TASK: To track organic traffic from search engines

Solution: Tracking without redirects from AdsBridge

How does it work?

In general, tracking without redirects function was created to simplify the work with such advertising platforms as GoogleAds, Bing, Facebook, MyTarget etc. which don’t like tracking links.

The principle of its work is the following: you add the link of your landing page and offers to the system, put on the landing page our script which contains the campaign tracking link. Then add your landing page link (not a campaign link) on the banner in GoogleAds/Facebook etc.

Thus, the direct transition to the landing page is fulfilled were the script is activated and click id is created.

So, the redirect is absent and “an initial link” doesn’t differ from “target page”.

However, what if you need to track those, who visit your website from search engine and not from the banner?

How to do it?

Add the link of your website to AdsBridge via Landing pages section  —> Create landing page —> Use self-hosted landing page

Go to the campaign creation process and choose Type Without redirects on the first step. Add the link of your website below and go to the second step.

Here, click on the “Add landing page” button and select your website from the list.

Below you see the proposition to add an offer. This field is required, however, how are you going to fill it depends on your needs. Let’s consider the possible examples.

Examples

1. I need to track the performance of the Blog section (replace with needed one ?) on my website.

put our script for tracking without redirects on the index page of your website where people go from a search engine;

-add the link of the Blog as an offer to AdsBridge and add click URL on the button for the Blog on the website.

*Please note, the script should be added between <body> </body> tags

What will I see in AdsBridge statistics?

Number of visits = how many users has come to the index page where the script is added.

Number of clicks = those who clicked on the Blog button

And, of course, 50+ columns with details about where from, when, from which device etc. these customers came. Including bots (if to choose ISP column).

2. I need to know who has read a certain article in the Blog on my website.

In addition to the above-mentioned instruction, after putting click URL on the Blog button, add our iframe pixel to the code of the page, where the article is situated. Our pixels are cookie-based, so when the user clicks on the Blog button and opens the article – pixels fires.

*please note, the domain in the pixel should be the same as in the campaign

Number of clicks = those who clicked on the Blog button

Number of conversions = those who read the article

Other detailed statistics.

3. I just want to know who visits my website and I don’t need any offers to add.

The system won’t allow you to save the campaign with the landing page only. That’s why you can add any link instead of the offer. Meanwhile, you don’t need to add anything to the website except for the script for tracking without redirects.
